God's House of Glory (of Colorado Springs)
"..for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God." 2 Chr. 5:14
What is salvation and why get saved?
We believe in hell and eternal retribution. Anyone who physically dies in his sins without Christ and his/her name is not found written in the Book of Life is hopelessly and eternally lost. (Revelation 20:15) Salvation is redemption from eternal damnation and restoration back to God. (Mark 16:16) The Bible teaches that man is created in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23
How do I get saved?
Man's first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh “repentance.” (2 Cor. 7:10) Repentance simply put is turning from a life of sin and turning unto the Lord. (Acts 11:18; Luke 5:32) The new birth that Jesus spoke to Nicodemus about (being born-again) is necessary to all men, and when fulfilled produces eternal life. (John 3:3) We believe, according to the Scriptures, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He was born of a virgin, was crucified, died for our sins, was buried, and on the third day He arose from the dead and ascended on high where He took His seat at the right hand of God until His enemies become His footstool. (1 Cor. 15:3-4; Mark 16:19; Psalm 110:1) If you are truly ready to be saved right now, then the Lord is ready to save you. He is only waiting for you.
Do I need to be baptized?
We believe in water baptism by immersion, which is a direct commandment of Jesus Himself and is for Believers only. (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:12; Acts 16:33; Matthew 28:19; Acts 19:3-5)
What about speaking in tongues?
We believe in the indwelling presence of God through the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance. (Acts 2:1-4; Acts 2:38-39; Acts 8:9-17; Acts 10; Acts 19:1-7)
Now that I'm saved, what's next?
We believe the Bible teaches that without Holiness no man shall see the Lord. The doctrine of Sanctification is a definite, yet progressive work of grace. (Hebrews 12:14)
Prayer of Repentance
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Your Son Jesus. You said in Your Word that whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins, that He was raised from the dead on the third day, and He's alive right now. I repent of my sins and surrender myself totally and completely to You. Heavenly Father, by faith, I now confess Jesus Christ as my new Lord and Savior. From this day forward, I dedicate my life to serving Him. Please fill me with your precious Holy Spirit so you may live Your life in me and through me.
